Houston, Texas - Giriraj

Our particular Govardhan Deity was given His first abhishekam (bathing ceremony) by a wandering cow who unexpectedly emptied her milk bag onto the sila just after He had been chosen as the Deity for Houston. Once again, Houston Hare Krishna Dham is unique in being one of the few Govardhan temples outside of India. Giriraj came to Houston on May 8, 1990.
